I've been asked by Ceasar to come meet him at The Fort, but I can't find my way over to it. If I swim across the ground is to steep to for me to climb up and If I try to cross over the Hoover Dam I eventually reach a door which just say inaccessible. Any advice?

You can only access the Fort via the raft at Cottonwood Cove. If you're friendly with the legion, they'll be there waiting to send you to Ceasar. If not, you can kill your way to the raft, although you'll probably have to kill your way through the Fort as well.

I have this problem too, I stupidly let Boone travel with me to there and ignored his warning, the contact was killed and when I step on the barge nothing happens. I even let Boone "go", parted ways with him and step on the barge and nothing. I'd like to go to the Fort and access the secret bunker, but cannot. get there

Are you just standing on the barge or activating the barge? Just like doors, computer terminals, etc . . . the barge has to be selected.

If you are selecting it and nothing is happening, then you've got some kind of strange bug.

I step on the barge and do not get to activate it at all, no "E) Activate Barge" pops up. I am shunned, but I have the Mark of Caeser.

You have to stand on the raft and look down.

Note if you got this far with Boone and killed to get here your 'Mark' is over and you will have a massive fight at the fort. I had to load a previous game and lost 4 levels after a couple of hours fighting!

Is it possible to fight your way through? I think I lost the mark when I became villified but when I go to the fort I'm not going to go with my companion I'm going to tell them to wait.

Probably possible, but tough as nails. There were three guys who will punch you with explosions. Made a nice upgrade for Veronica.

I hope this isn't game breaking.

That's what I was worried about. So I restarted my game! However reading other posts seems to indicate it doesn't break the game - just don't expect any Christmas cards from the legion. Also even though I got to the tent there was no way I could win the fight, I was a weak melee build.

I made it through the Fort with my Gauss rifle and Marksman carbine AP. Once i got into the Caeser's tent though, i was glad that i brought plasms grenades and plenty of stimpacks and doctors bags.
