Getting so tired of Dragon attacks in town.

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 5:59 am

I'm over it. In the last 10 hours of gameplay I went from 24 souls to 70. Everytime I go into a town a dragon appears. I got to winterhold an elder dragon attacks, I leave, I come back another dragon attacks. It's not hard for my level 70 character to fight a dragon it's just annoying to keep having to do it everytiime I enter most town and cities. Has anyone else experienced this on the ps3?

I've been experiencing it as well, but on the Xbox 360.

It is annoying, but I don't mind it hence they have a lot of coins.

Otherwise, it's annoying because the guards literally go inside the inns and don't help me.

Yea, after a while the dragon attacks do accumulate. I started a new character and she will have nothing to do with the MQ. She will just be roaming Skyrim and probably join the Thieves Guild (need a fence hahahaha) So, no MQ, no dragon attacks! hehe Well, world walls will be useless, but that's not a major concern. Did the MQ with a few other toons. lol

Strange, same as with oblivion gates popping up everywhere, im like the only one that loves dragons popping up in citys everywhere :D never completed oblivions main quest because i didnt want to loose those gates, with increased spawn mods those places were hilarious.
Cant wait for increased dragon spawns mod.

The further you get in the MQ the more frequent the dragon attacks seem.

I have still to visit the Grey Beards on my current character and I have only 1-2 random dragon attacks every 2-3 hours (out of gametime) so thats fine with me.

Caused entirely by fast traveling to the cities. Try using fast travel to a nearby location instead. Then you can fight the dragon outside where it's safe.

LOL I actually liked the OB gates as well and always dragged out the MQ. Only reason I usually started it, was because of Martin! <3 awwwwwww hahahaha

I have no issues with Dragon Attacks though. I love fighting the dragons. I just wanted to make a new toon that just roams around and has no worries, besides getting gold and where her next meal comes from hahahaha I did that with another toon, got her to lvl 28 and then she went and started the MQ. So, I deleted her, since that was not her purpose. LOL :)

I noticed I stopped getting spammed to death by dragons when I stopped fast traveling as much, so if you're sick of them, it's something you could try. :) If you don't want to quit fast traveling altogether, Shagsbeard had a great solution up there.

It seems to happen when fast traveling for me too. The only problem I have is when it is a delayed attack and I have already started to talk to another npc as part of a quest. (Ghost related to Mara quest, Falkreath graveyard, talking to Enthir at the College of Winterhold).

Yet I cannot get the Dragon Seeker's quest to start from the Companions (have done around 10 radiant quests from Aela, Farkas, and Vilkas each).

Thing is I don't fast travel anywhere ever. Every once in a while. My problem is I keep having to reset my ps3 due to lag so I think it's resetting the dragons. I hate it only because every once in a whole they kill an NPC that was important to me and I don't realize until later. I just see the person laying lifeless on the ground. I'd go back to a prior save but getting where I get to in the game and progressing is so hard because of lag and freezes. If the patch fixes these issues I think I'll be ok.

In the Winterhelm Mage guild, I can always expect to fight an Ancient Dragon, when it respawns.

Just save before you Fast Travel to a town or Settlement. If you get a dragon, then reload and fast travel somewhere else, fight the dragon, save, then fast travel to the town.

Is this an example of Radiant AI-Dragons repeatedly attacking Winterhold MG?I don`t notice much obvious randomness in gameplay except when it comes to dragons and their sometimes unwelcome appearances at inopportune moments(like when I`m already fighting 2 cave bears with an axe).

When I feel annoyed by an untimely dragon attack do I go on a revenge spree. I go to every dragon site nearby and slaughter them. That does it for me.
