Ghorbash's ancestral axe...

Is Ghorbash's ancestral axe in the game, and if so, how did you get it?

Mild spoilers re: orcs stronghold quests follow...

The UESP and wiki have no info other than the item code for the axe. The Prima guide says Ghorbash will be your follower if you find it.

Once allowed into the stronghold (to be allowed into an orc stronghold (and become Blood-Kin) I had to retrieve the Forgemaster's Fingers (or complete the Cursed Tribe at Largashbur)), Ghorbash offered three options for me to gain him as a follower: persuade, bribe, or brawl. Nothing about finding an axe or doing a quest. He also does not have it in his inventory via pickpocketing or item swapping (with him as a follower), nor is it on his corpse if you kill him. None of the other orcs at Dushnik Yal (his home stronghold) present any quest options to find the axe either.

Can anyone confirm the weapon in-game and explain how they got it (even if it is eventually removed from their inventory when the quest completes)?

Thanks.

Update: unless there's something in an update/patch or the Unofficial Patch that changed this, using the Creation Kit (CK), it seems that Ghorbash's Ancestral Axe is NOT in the game, even though the UESP and the Prima Guide reference it. Obviously the Prima Guide can't update itself, but the UESP should include a comment next to its listing that it is not available without the use of the console. The Elder Scolls wiki seems to have removed it from their pages (kudos!), as I could find no trace of it there anymore. So for all of you hardcoe collectors of items, cross this one off your list.

Explanation: In the CK, the only container that contains the axe is the QAWeaponContainer. The only location of the QAWeaponContainer is in a cell called QASmoke. The QASmoke cell is some sort of testing cell with a container for (I guess) every known item in the game.

By all means, if any of this is inaccurate, please correct me.

Thanks.

more proof that game guides are a waste of money...alot of info is wrong in them like this weapon.
you should wipe your ass with its pages and mail it back to the publisher with a thanks for not proof reading letter ;)

Whoa. Well, I wouldn't go that far - I'd say the wiki and UESP have some errors, too - most reference sources will have some errors. Generally speaking, I have found the Prima guide helpful. Oh, and you wrote, "proof reading letter," which I suspect should have been, "proof reading better."

You do know, I hope, that being the Wiki means that it can be edited - by anyone - with just a few minutes time and effort. If you think something should be changed or added, DO IT

My best guess is the axe was an intended quest that was cut from the game after the guide was already assembled. The problem with those store bought guilds is they are made by people who haven't actually played the game using information sent to them before the game is even finished.

I read the Oblivion guide cover to cover before installing the game... I must have spent an hour trying start a goblin war before I finally googled it...
