Giant spiders in NV?

There are giant scorpions, ants, roaches, lizards, etc. How about spiders? Fast ones and very creepy.

I really want to see trap door spiders. They'll pop out of the ground, rather than just spawn in a distance.

That would scare the [censored] out of me way faster than a Yao Guai. Though that does have the "instant death" factor going with it. Would they spawn in front of player? Would they trap the player and eat him/her alive?

Uh kinda like what they do in real life, they hide underground until an insect comes close. Then they pop out. They'll probably eat anything in the wasteland, even other critters.

That would be the perfect tie in to the quest.

Your character is wandering the wastes then "BOOM!" you fall, and your head turns to see a vicious, ugly, disturbing spider svcking you into its nest. Then, when all seems lost, someone shoots it and pulls you out, inviting you into a new and exciting quest.

TRAPDOOR SPIDERS!
NOOO!

If they had this there had better be a way to detect them. Like, the ground looks funny or something.

Trap door spider seems pretty cool. I think some could hang from the cieling and attack the courier from behind or come out from the ground, but not in a 'instant death" way...

Just as long as they don't have small spiders, they're what really scare the crap out of me.

With the abundance of tarantulas out West it would make perfect sense to have giant spiders.

Trapdoor's would be cool as well, but Tarantula's make more sense to me personally...

I like the idea, of course I'm always interested in a larger variety of baddies... however I wish that all encounters were much much fewer and far between but then also much much much more deadly... I'm mean its a wasteland... how do all these creatures survive (referencing the abundance of creatures in fallout 3)

I'm surprised we haven't seen any giant spiders in Fallout yet.
Would be nice.
Could be somewhat poisonous and hunt in packs.

Please no, I have arachnophobia :nope:. I was unable to continue playing Dark Messiah once those big spiders started showing up.

Hmm, I think we had a discussion about this a month or so before...

And I've worked my magic: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1107825-arachnofobian/page__hl__%20arachnophobia

I'd love to have some big mutated spiders in! I always thought it was strange that spiders weren't in any Fallout game to date, they would probably fit right in NV like they had always been there, to be honest.
Concerning arachnofobia:
I am actually mildy arachnofobic myself, and I scream like a japanese schoolgirl if I see anything larger than your average bugger. I also become a little dizzy and all that brings :cryvaultboy:
However, if it's in a cage, or in this case, my TV screen, I enjoy their company, to a certain extent anyways. Could be different for others, but at least this is how I feel about it, so a YES from me
