Giving up on Skyrim fix, game is unplayable

Post » Mon Dec 24, 2012 11:08 am

Skyrim ran fine, no problems on my system for a year. Now, since the 1.8 patch that was FORCED on me by STEAM. The game crashes to a black screen. Locks up and the computer has to be restarted,
every 10-20 minutes. Dont ask for my diaxdag, or ram or whatnot, as it does not matter.
DOnt tell me to try this, and that, Ive done them ALL. Even watching my cpu and gpu temps, trying new video cards, new ram....its not OUR SYTEMS. ITS THE GAME UPDATE, PATCH, CODE, Chickens in the henhouse..you name it. I run all sorts of software, games, etc..and none of them crash.
Kingdoms of amalar, Saints Row III, Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion on full detail......
Why cant we revent back to PRE 1.8??? GIVE US OUR GAME BACK!
Cant you see on the internet all the people that are having the same issue? Black screen, sound for 2 seconds, then lockup computer. I paid for this game, and you stole it back.
Skyrim went from being..."wow, best game ive ever seen in my life.." to "wow, worst buggiest mess Ive ever seen"
Stop blaming our computers. FACT, its the game code, the update patch that ruined this title.
Im not the only one a little peeved about this, im just one of the few that actually posts about it.
Your loosing your customer base over this. Good luck with your next release. I wont be buying it.
Oh, I want my money back.
Thank You

If you don't want any help in possibly fixing whatever happened, this can close. The forums aren't the place to ask for a refund. Actually, you might want to try tech support. Not everyone is having issues with the game. I haven't run into any problems yet, besides one lockup/freeze, but that wasn't Bethesda's fault; my cat walked across my keyboard. Apparently hitting several keys at once can cause problems.
