In the quest where you are investigating the forsworn conspiracy, there is a point where you go back into the shrine of talos to talk with Eritrys (sp?). He has been killed and you are supposed to be arrested. My level 41 high elf mage was in the process of this quest. I investigated each of the principals. Confronted and killed Nepos, dealt with the treasury where I found out he was funding the forsworn. I went to report my findings, saw Eritrys (sp?) dead in the temple with two guards.... and then nothing. I talked with them, nothing. I fought them and got arrested, but did not finish the previous quest. It just stopped.

The guards didn't approach you and try to arrest you? Well that's a glitch if i ever seen one. The last topic for organized glitch reporting was just locked this morning(post limit), so just wait until someone starts a new one and post there. I'm not criticizing your posting a seperate topic, please don't misunderstand.

As for your problem....if you can, reload a prior save and just keep entering and exiting the temple and hope it triggers properly.

Ha! I just realized I have the exact opposite problem. I finished the whole thing but the guards are still there trying to arrest me. Wanna trade?
