Glowing eyes bug - NEED FIX! Very annoying.

Post » Fri May 18, 2012 4:20 pm

Alright, this is starting to get on my nevers really bad. Me and many others have experienced getting big blue glowing eyes after using the Aurora whisper shout ( Detect life) and It's absolutely permanent. It will last through absolutely anything at all. It shows extremely clearly in third person, and is a little noticable in first person. It's very immersion-breaking, for me atleast. :banghead:

Here's a screenshot : http://steamcommunity.com/id/tjodleif/screenshot/650997180361334510

I don't care If I have to delve into the most complicated of files and edit them, go through several different programs and do whatever it takes to get rid of this issue, I've had enough of it. There is absolutely NO possible permanent fix out there for this as far as I know.
Can this be modded away? Does anyone have the slightest idea what's causing this or any tips on how to do anything to remedy this? I'd love for someone to take the time to figure out what's causing this and possible how to fix it...

Try Adding

bUseEyeEnvMapping=0

under [General] Topic in your skyrim.ini

should look like this:

[General]
sLanguage=ENGLISH
bUseEyeEnvMapping=0

Hey! Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately this did not work either. This is driving me nuts...

Try to set it in your skyrimpref.ini in my games/skyrim. I thought you had to put it there, not the skyrim.ini. I could be wrong too, but its worth a try, no?

Are you sure about what this actually does?
