My Goddness... SKYRIM so.... close!

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 9:37 pm

So Skyrimers, How the wait?

I cannot wait, I keep watching gameplay videos of Hunting, character creation, Dragon fights and we'r so......close :cryvaultboy:

I just can't wait to make my Nord called Warlen whom father an Noble Imperial and his mother a Nord, he aged 41, 10 years ago his wife was murdered just to get him into revenge and into their trap, except that he too powerful and the trap didn't work and he killed the Imperial who ordered his men to kill his wife and apparently the guy wanted to absorb his soul for something... but my nord didn't listen...

3 years before the execution of this Nord, A Werewolf killed one of his daughters and he set out to hunt the werewolf clan, apparently the leader of the clan is an Hero and Noble in Hammerfell and his sentence was to execution.

There was many attempts on his life and family but why was the problem, he decided it'll be safe that he spilt his children all around the World, 1 in Hammerfel, 2 in Croydill, 3 in high rock, 4 in the borders of Morrowind and the 5th stayed with him whom she got killed by a werewolf, he also thought it would safe to give them new identifies.

Warlen stayed in the Jerall Mountains and hoping the ones who wanted him dead will come and fall onto his trap for Interrogations.

Soon the Guards capture him, and were in a rush to rid of him! that when he's in SKYRIM.

Man, I can't wait and what your character backstory?

EDIT title: Damnit! I spell Goodness wrong!

I'm just hoping it's better than Oblivion which was a distinct step backwards for the series IMO. After the second Oblivion gate I just wanted to shelve the game. Dragons (being this games version of the Gates) looks like a much more interesting prospect.

Oblivion had it's flaws and some of the game killing bugs (slowdown in gfx after xxx hours play) were fixed by the community for PC the tech support got pretty much slated iirc.

I'm just hoping that Skyrim lives up to the hype but I'll be browsing the problem pages as the roll out progresses. :liplick:

I eventually played through the main quest, but it was turmoil. I am one of those people that enjoyed Daggerfall and Morrowind much more. Leveled creatures are the bane of my existence. I want a game that when I go to an area that has really bad creatures there, that I get completely destroyed and that makes me want to level up so I can go back there and, in then being able to defeat them, get a greater feeling of satisfaction. Also, the gates were just the worst level of repetition I have ever encountered in a non-MMO RPG.

Thanks! You've brought back my hatred for that game all over again. :(

Uh...wow. Are you an idiot? You do know that Morrowind and Oblivion were made by the same company, right? So if I was a MW fan-boy than I am a fan-boy of the same company.....

And yes. I liked Daggerfall and Morrowind MUCH more than I liked Oblivion. They weren't as pretty, but they were more challenging.

Also, by calling me that, you expose yourself as a console player whose only exposure to the series is Oblivion.

Saying things like this just proves to everyone you weren't smart enough to survive in Morrowind. Good thing Bethesda made Oblivion really easy for you, because you ruined Oblivion for the rest of us.

I'm a console player and I really enjoyed morrowind and oblivion, with the exception of the gates. All make skyrim seem all the more apealing.

That's a little over-dramatic. Oblivion was fun. I tried Morrowind and thought it was boring in comparison.

If you look at the topics he's started in his profile you'll see that he wants to block with dual-wielding so (and I'm quoting him) "nobody can ever kill me." Yeah, he's the reason it was simplified in OB.

He also wanted to play online with thousands of other players. An Elder Scrolls MMO???? Seriously? :banghead:

Wow the guy that started this thing is excited. So excited that his post was filled with so many grammatical errors it was barely readable.

I agree that Morrowind was a better game than Oblivion, but Ob is still up there as one of the greats. I'm not going to fall into that fan trap of bashing it simply because it didn't live up to a much loved prequel. It's still a great game in it's own right, which is why it has influenced the genre so much.
