Hey guys,

I just picked up Skyrim, and set out on my first quest to retrieve the Golden Claw from Bleak Falls Barrow Ruins, but the ruins won't actually load the geometry! The building to the right of the stairs is missing. I can see a doorway, but other than that, there is nothing there. There's a small ledge with steps, but if I attempt to walk up this, I am greeted with the message "You cannot go this way" and I am stuck - I have to fast travel back to Riverwood to get out. I've reloaded the game, exited to the XMB, fast travelled to and from, and still can't get the building to load in.

I'm running the latest firmware, grabbed the v2.00 patch before playing - anyone else experienced this?

same quest different problem. the pillars for the puzzle won't spin. got it once on a reload but died soon after. many reloads later and no luck getting them too budge.

Im in there right now and have not experienced any glitch what so ever. Seems like everything is running fine in the dungeon for me. Only glitch iv had was before the beheading intro, when he asked me for my name it froze, but i waited 5 seconds and after that it all went smoothly again.

The puzzles on the left side of the room? Just to be sure, you're not trying to spin the ones ahead of you, correct?

Try rolling back on your save and waiting to attack the bandit after he pulls the lever.

Ok, I tried starting a new game, same thing.
Started a new game without the patch, same thing.
Re-installed the game data and patched it, same thing.
I decided to leave it, I went to Whiterun, then was sent back on the Bleak Falls Barrow quest, and the building geometry is there this time.

Perhaps I should have gone to Whiterun first but eh, maybe something to look into for the next patch?

Same for me too , i can't activate the pilars on the left WHY !!!

I am sure you do something wrong....because my friend have finished the quest without problem....i am sure of this.......

I personally do not main quest...only side quest because i want to explore the world out there......have fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i did it pfff i reloaded a saved game went out of the dungeon en back in again and now i finished it !
