Good or Evil-And Why?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 12:46 am

Are you good or evil in the land of skyrim? Why have you chosen to be this way? I was evil before I saw the live action skyrim trailer. The rendition of The Dragonborn Comes song made me think:Skyrim needs me. They depend on me to save them. They trust in me. Why would I turn me back on them? Why would I let the dragons destroy every last woman and child? I know that it is just a game, but It really makes you think.

Good, as it's not like I have a choice.

I would guess...good? I don't really kill NPCs for no reason...but I usually save and go on a rampage and kill everyone in a city and then reload

Somewhere in the middle usually. Not evil, but kind of a jerk on occasion.

Both, because it's clear there is no "good and evil" definitions in Skyrim.

If I had my way, I'd kill all the Imperials and Jarls, and claim Tamriel as my own.

Perhaps I should have made a character named Ghengis.

Usually I am good: always at first, because it is how I like to play - I don't want to be a horrible murderer. And before people tell me that it is only a game, I am very well aware of that - it is the reason I don't report you all to the police  - but I don't see the point of having an immersive world in which one somehow fails to immerse one's normal emotions and sympathies.

I started an evil character to do all the quests I could not do before (three guilds and the Daedric quests, I was thinking). But I haven't yet been able to bring myself to do one of the early Dark Brotherhood quests.

My character started off as a petty thief, using his mere earnings to buy skooma and moon sugar. Until he was caught and carted off to Helgen, this to him was a sign that he needed. He joined a group of mercenaries with a bit of honour (companions) this is where he learned his skill with a bow. Soon they were called to kill a dragon. He then became aware of his power, he then meditated with the greybeards for 12 years, after this he decided to learn more about the arcane arts so joined the College of Winterhold and became Arch-Mage. Soon after he heard news of a certain group called the Dawnguard. He joined to fight evil, soon after he was sort of known as a vigil of stendarr but he does not use it as one of his titles.

Problem with this is if I join the Vampires I will need to add in an evil twist, betrayed maybe. Maybe is infected with basic saguine vampiris and decided to use it too his advantage.
Then again with the new face changer in Riften I can change my terrible imperial to look much more evil, give him a beard, a blind eye and scars. Then he will be evil.

Neutral. Do what must be done and help when you can.
But sometimes, there's gonna be bias towards one group, and the Companions' interests come above all else.

To be evil you're nearly breaking your game, it's ridiculous I can't be evil, do evil deeds, and be a d*** in general while still doing quests.

Good, when in Argonian form. Pure evil in Werewolf form. Dawnstar is a ghost town.

This,
Anyway being evil for evils sake is dumb, to bad we cant team up with Thalmor that would be good for evil-esque characters

A bit of both really. I don't feel Skyrim forces you to make choices that affect a 'good or bad' rating though which is good.

I'm always a good character in Skyrim, but i'm also willing to sacrifice things for the greater good during difficult and grey choices. Being evil is counter to my actual personality, so it's difficult for me to relate to it. Besides, it's truly rare for someone to actually be evil. Most of the time it's a combination of selfishness, ambition, and manipulative personalities.

I kill any living creature I possibly can.

Not sure if that makes me good or evil.

You decide.
