"Red Tails"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpA6TC0T_Lw

I saw this movie yesterday, and I thought it was fantastic. I read the reviews beforehand on rotten tomato, and they all made it sound like this was going to be a piece of crap and a waste of my life, but I really did enjoy it. I'd put this in the top 5 of all movies I've seen, and I've seen many, many movies..

It probably would have been better to put the title in the thread title, or anywhere in your post.

As it is, I've never seen Red Tails, but I have heard good things about it.

If you don't know anything (or much) about WWII Air Combat, this may be a good place to start

I honestly don't want to spend money to see it and its not even because of the reviews. Its because of George freaking Lucas.

I wanted to see it but a lack of funds and Rotten Tomatoes discouraged me. I think I might get around to seeing it next weekend, it definitely looks really good.

Geroge made the film---that means all the character dialogs are in shot-reverse-shot, one character walking up to a window, turns and looks back, Geroge using only two monitors and a set with green screens while sitting in chair drinking coffee, slow walking pace in a scene where running would be efficent and most of the movie is the characters talking while sitting on a coutch :P .

Wait... people read Youtube comments? Why on Earth would anyone subject themselves to that torture willingly?

Honestly, I think Youtube commenters are the worst group on the Internet, yes, worse than you know where, and those guys too.

I loved The Tuskegee Airmen movie with Fishburne. I'm hoping this new one is just as good or better.

I dont care about this movie hes talking about but the thread title made me think this was a movie rec thread and it'd be a shame to waste the one I have for you. Everyone should see Interstate 60. Its quite charming and just the thing for when internet buttheads get stuck in your craw. One of those feel good films that manage not to be cheesy.
