Good ways to get fitter?

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 8:00 pm

Hey,
Just wondering about some good and fun exersizes for me to do to get fitter. I am thin and all, but I'm not very fit because I'm not super active other than riding, running, and just keeping up with a PE log. (push ups, sit ups, sprints, ect.)

Do anything that will cause your muscles to tear, but do not over-do it. Just enough so that by the next day, when you extend your arm it is very sore.

Little weight lifting and what not. Also, run. At night, just walk outside and run for ten/twenty minutes. Not to fast, just enough so that you are using energy and hurting your legs (not to much though).

What will happen is your body will scream, "OH MY GOD. THE MUSCLES! THEY ARE BREAKING! QUICK, REPAIR THEM! GIVE THEM SOME EXTRA DEFENCE, DONT LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN! OH MY GOD!"

I just started cycling more to get more fit. It's a great work out, and practical too. I've also started hiking more. That's very useful if you have a weekend to spare. Once you're a couple miles in there's no way to not to exercise  As a bonus, hiking foods are very nutritious.

Step 1: Chop legs off.
Step 2: Walk everywhere on hands
Step 3: By years end you will be super buff.

GO GO GO.

Get a membership at a gym. Every other day run 2-3 miles (start at with doing just a mile, within a few weeks you'll be able to do 3) and lift weights. That's what I do.

Play Mortal Kombat with your friends ... in Real Life.

The "Test your Might" scenes will test if you're fit enough.

Sausage = Seal?

Remind me to never accept any meat from your "See World Hunting Trips". Why do you call it that anyway?

What, I found a seal doing a sausage roll first in my search so it got the first word, which seems interesting. Has anyone eatin "sausage" made from seals?

I don't know what "See World Hunting Trips" are, unless you mean Deep Sea World?
Call what what? Sausage rolls "sausage rolls?

It was a joke. See sounds the same as Sea, ergo "Sea World Hunting Trip" (Sea World is an aquarium/water park chain in the US). And I was clicking on the links one word at a time, so in my head I only read the first clip as "sausage". But I guess my late night tonight is messing with my sense of humor...

I've never heard of "Sea World Hunting Trip" but I have been to a few of the Sea World places in the UK, never want to leave.

Thanks, these are all really good. I like kicking around the soccar ball and playing ultimate frisbee at the homeschool co-op I go to, but other than that at home there is a basket ball hoop in my like the "dead end" in my neighbor hood, but I svck at it. Terribly.
I love to run. I can't get enough of it! I want to join a track team but I don't know any for homeschoolers.
We have a pool, and I like to do laps in it, but its closed because its winter in America.
Is anorexica ok if the person stops as soon as they tell something is wrong with their body? I'm not anorexic...just wondering...

If you have access to a swimming pool, lake, etc. ... go swimming.
Biking, running, hiking etc.
Martial arts of some kind.
Ballroom dancing (or any kind of dancing, really).
Rowing.
Wii fit? :P

This is assuming you're more concerned with aerobic fitness/overall health/stamina vs. specific body-building/sculpting.

Lift weights like a bawss. The heavier the better, if you're using your back when you're doing bicep curls, then you're doing it right!

Well I got fit by finding work that keeps me walking miles for large portion of the week.
Cutting intake of food, not dieting just smaller portions.

Push ups, sit ups.
I'd say gardening or helping folks with heavy duties.
Lifting crud around the house even will save money.

That is what I am doing. My sister and her soon-to-be husband are on a P90x (or something like that, I believe) diet before the wedding and I wanted to try it out. I love it! You can eat what you want but like you said, portion control and something simple like taking a walk.

Hope it works out for you, getting back in shape after getting out of it feels good.
Also keep walking that pooch, every little helps and he'll like the exercise too.
