Good Wii games?

Post » Mon Jul 01, 2013 7:24 pm

So, I recently got my brother to loan me his Wii and a bunch of games indefinitely, ad now I'm curious about some good games for it.

Any recommendations out there?

Super Mario Galaxy. Probably the best game ever made for the Wii. SMG2 is also pretty awesome.

Zelda: Skyward Sword
Super Mario Galaxy
Mario Kart
Xenoblade Chronicles (a great RPG)

All three of the Metroid Prime games are fantastic. The first two were on Gamecube, but re-released on Wii as well.

Well, I suppose this is the place to ask if Battalion wars is any good.

Battalion Wars 2? (i think thats the Wii one). I've only played a bit of it at a mate's house, but I enjoyed it. If you enjoy the Advance Wars style of strategy and combat you'll probably have a lot of fun with it.

I was thinking about getting the first one so I can use the gamecube controller. I don't think the 2nd one is compatible with the gamecube controller.

Due to an error at my local Gamestop, I bought it on release AND on sale. $60 marked down to $43 or something like that.

Even still, $60 for it is well worth it IMHO. Especially if you have an optical drive that is capable of reading Wii discs so you can rip your game and run it using the Dolphin emulator. Xenoblade looks AMAZING @ 1080p with 4x AA and all those goodies. Still looks good (at least aesthetically) on the Wii, but damn, Dolphin really allows you to see the artists true vision of the game.

Anyways, yeah, the game is [censored] awesome.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've got Monster Hunter Tri(playing it right now as a matter of fact)

I definitely want to try Xenoblade, because it looks great, and Zelda, just to see what the fuss is all about.
