Goodwill Thrift Store Finds

Post » Sun Jul 01, 2012 1:55 pm

Was at the local Goodwill the other day and stumbled upon these two gems:

V:TM - Bloodlines & Diablo 2.

Grand Total? $6.

Winning.

What other good deals (not just on games) have you snagged at Goodwill, thrift stores, yard sales, etc?

Edit: Last year I picked a LinkSys WRT54G for $2. It's still my main router. I gave my WRT54G2 to my in-laws after I found it. LOL.

I got the Diablo 1/2 battle chest in mint condition guide book and all at the salvation army for $5 recently myself. Good finds.

As for other things I've gotten...in the last 2 or 3 trips(past month) to the 3 thrift stores I visit to pass time:

PC games, $1-2 each:
Riven(the sequel to Myst)
Alpha Centauri
Zoo Tycoon 2
the Diablo BC mentioned above

About 20 records for $1-2/each, I don't feel like listing them all. One of them is a glorious christian cold war propaganda record but I can't go into any more detail because of forum rules, the others are mostly jazz records.

Banjo Kazooie for the N64 $1

Oh yea, the post below me reminded me that I found a $700 coat(priced at a store that was literally 2 minutes away) for $20 a couple months ago. That's worth mentioning above the usual $1-2 things..

It even fit me. I have very odd dimensions(HUGE shoulders) so I usually just ignore clothes in thrift stores. It caught my eye though and I was extremely happy when I could actually wear it. Just had to have the buttons repaired and had to get it dry cleaned.

Now I just need a place to wear it because it never gets cold here and I'm hot natured anyway..

I often find many good coats, dusters, and clothes. I also find books and cds.

Once I found a $200 suit jacket with the tag still on it for sale for $13.
A 80th Birthday Sinatra 2 CD set $5
A book on poker and various books on religion for a small handful of dollars.

I find so many good deals it's hard to pick out just one.

Knife block for $8 at a Goodwill
Shadowrun for the SNES from a goodwill on ebay in San Francisco for about $25 which was in mint condition with everything.
at a Pawn Store found another copy of Final Fantasy 7 for $5 for the PSX bought it found out it also came with Final Fantasy Tactics.

You have no idea. I go into thriftstores and I become like a kid in a candy store, so many things right up my alley. :cryvaultboy:
