Same here. After about 7 hours, the lag set in.

well I have lag when I'm horsebackriding, and when I have been playing for a long time and I go to a city. ( I have to turn off my PS3, wait 15 min or so then when i restart my game the lag the towns is less, but the lag while riding a horse remains. )

here is a video of the lag

7 hours! Take a break! :P

Just wondering, are you all on a slim or a fat PS3? I have only had one opportunity to marathon with this game on 11/11/11 and it ran fine for 8 hours on my fat PS3.

Good God, I just went to youtube to see some examples of lag and that is horrendous. I have a fat 40 gig PS3 and I have not had anything that looked that craptacular. Mine runs very smooth. Maybe try playing it offline? (I know Skyrim doesn't have online....I just meant in general, turn off ps3 online.)

First of all i think the auto save feature are some kind of buggy and it forces the PS3 to stutter some kind of....every time here and there.....

Second i thing they must be a cache problem with the game if somebody plays for hours with it....i suggest to play less hours (i mean after 2-3 hours save the game-put off the console and again on)
and play another 2-3 hours and so on..and so on....i thing not big deal.....

waiting for fixes from Bethesda.....
