Graphical flashingtearingartifcating

Post » Tue Jan 15, 2013 1:06 am

Hey all, sorry if this has been posted before but I couldn't seem to find a thread with a resolution.

Basically at release my game ran absolutely fine with no issues at all, fast forward 12 months and my game now has graphical issues (mainly flashing, tearing and artifacting) when I run in SLI, a problem that continues to present. When I first load up the game it's absolutely fine, the problem only appears after loading or entering a few different areas. I've tried playing around with nvidia settings (vsync on, SLI rendering mode etc) and the problem always appears.

I am fairly sure this isn't hardware related as this doesn't appear in other games that I regularly play (XCOM, BF3, Far Cry 3 to name three). Anyone else have this issue, or a solution to it? I'm beginning to think that Skyrim just has a poor SLI profile....

My (important) specs are:
i7 2600k @ 4GHz
2x GTX 550Ti in SLI
8GB RAM (@1600MHz)

I will copy-paste a dxdiag if necessary and is requested, but I've found it to be minimal help in the past with support issues. I also keep all drivers (specifically graphical) up to date. Appreciate any help!

What happens if you disable SLI?

Sorry I thought I'd stated that; it works fine (re: no graphical issues) just much slower due to mods and texture packs. If push comes to shove I can just turn the graphics down and deactivate my texture packs, but I'd only want to do that as a last resort because it looks quite nice with them.

Are the profiles up to date (or whatever the terms are, I've never used a multi-GPU setup so that may not be the proper terminology)?

I believe so, I keep everything nvidia and game related up to date. At first I thought it might be the SLI bridge, but as I said it doesn't appear in any other game. I just think Skyrim isn't very SLI friendly but I was hoping for clarification and/or tips from people in here who may have had this issue.

What driver version are you on?

Just want to check that before I checkout on this one. :)
