Great Game..but to easyfast

So here is my opinion about skyrim.
I like it, its fun to play...but there are way to many exploits...and a few annoying features.

I have a significant problem with how the smithing is implemented. It is way to easy to level up your skill just by creating iron daggers. There should be a level-cap for each class of material used. If you want to further increase your smithing skill, you have to choose a more challenging material (steel, dwemer...). This would kind of slow down the whole process and make it more challenging.

And how is it possible that you can create items that you have never been in touch with. I can easily create tons of dwemer bows without ever finding a single one ingame. This is not logical. My suggestion: first you have to find one and anolyse it (comparable to disenchanting). After this you can reproduce the item.

Or you have to buy kind of a manual from a trader that explains you how to create it.

Traders are the next thing i dont like. I the beginning they only have iron and steel stuff, but when i raise in levels and my own equipment improves, out of a sudden they also have orcish or dwemer weapons.
Come on. This shop probably exists for several years already, why should the goods suddenly adjust to my level/equipment. I always wanted to have shops which have an impressive inventory right from the beginning. I want to enter a shop and see all the wonderful things i cant afford. By this i would have the MOTIVATION to earn and SPEND some money. As it is now the traders are only there to BUY MY stuff because they dont have anything which i do not have myself already.

Sorry for my english, i'm german. :-)

That is not an idea that can be implemented, but the XP gain should be smaller for lesser materials. the better the material and item you create, the more XP you gain.

Yes, its bad design. But it only effects you if you choose to use it. If you then choose to use it, its still your choice on whether to abuse it or not.

If you think it's too east you can always turn the difficulty up.

Although I don't disagree. We need to realise that bugs-exploits-&-issues go hand-in-hand with Bethesda releases. Always, without fail. They like to release, then patch and fix. If the fan-base still want more, then they'll mod, mod and mod some more! :)

Agreed.

Smithing especially is so easy to level.
And due to how extremly powerful it makes melee classes, it is causing imbalance.

Its of course your choice to perform it, but since the choice is there, why not take it.

Iron should be able to level you to say around 30, maybe 40, but no further. In my opinion.

But, the higher items you do create, the faster you do level.
But the lower items should just not give any skills at all. Iron daggers are dirt cheap to create.

stick to master difficulty without using exploits, and the game is pretty hard, at least in the early 1-25ish levels then it gets fairly easier if you know how to use the stuff you get acess to.

four things I would like changed next patch (from my experience alone of the characters I tried out)
1- make a cap or strong diminishing for the stacking of -spell cost enchants, swinging spells for no mana cost in too much...
2- make a cap or deminishing returns dor the stacking of crafting perks to create imbalanced upgraded armor and weapons (the alchemy+smithing+enchanting exploit)
3- reduce the speed on yourself (if only a litle) when quick reflexes (the time slow when blocking a power attack shield perk) procs
4- adjust the dual casting perk multipliers... mana cost multiplier is too high and damage multiplier too low.

It's not like this game is an MMO. There's no reason to "balance" it by making some skills less useful.

Easy solutions:
Don't level smithing if it bugs you.

Turn up your difficulty to the hardest setting.

Why do i play such a game? Because someone else created this world and filled it with challenges.
It is my fun and motivation to face these challenges and find solutions and strategies to overcome them.
I do NOT play this game to restrict myself, ignoring parts of the game and thereby build up my own difficulty level. And if some implemented features are overpowered and make most of the challenges lapsed, this means it is imbalanced and should be adjusted.

I've Played Since Daggerfall and i don't understand why people say this so much...

Yes you have choices but if something like smithing is so broken it becomes take it you're overpowered or don't take. Its hard to balance it out. Of course you can But people always will go the easy way out. You can go around mining ore and not fast travel everywhere and don't craft daggers and its not overpowered. But even then once u cap on that and enchanting its like ummmm i can 2 shot dragons lol

People who don't want to be overpowered but want smithing and/or enchanting aren't given a choice on the matter
