Bethesda did a great job with the orcs and how they look. The Orc strongholds are very well done! Im an Orc so they welcomed me with open arms. This was very pleasant because I felt alone in skyrim. And they were like my family. Great job on this Bethesda

Agreed, Great for Roleplaying as well. Like the Orcs have something or some knowledge you need and you have to go get the Forgemasters fingers to get the info.

I wish there were more quest's in the strongholds.
I did just start an Orc that will be traveling to all the different strongholds trading with them and working the forges.

Yeah my current main is an Orc warrior. First time I've made an Orc player character. Ignored them in Morrowind and Oblivion (I honestly can't remember what my pc was for Daggerfall). But I'm loving this Orc. The only complaint, is not a complaint. It's just a wish. I also wish there just a bit MORE to the strongholds. Quest-line to become the best stronghold (whichever one you pick) would be cool. Or maybe a plot twist where Stormcloaks and Imperials are both hiring orcish heavy infantry mercenaries. I mean, that's not going to happen now. Maybe in the next game Orcs will be advanced even further in the culture/lore and a few racially specific quests (for each race).

I feel that maybe we may see a DLC in the land of the orcs 'Orcsiniam' (I can't spell it's name). But to the point, I was thinking the orc's homeland is kind of small (same size as shivering isles) and it's right next to skyrim. Just an idea and I think it would be cool for orc's to have at least on big role in a TES game. What you think?

Orsinium doesn't exist anymore. Eons ago the Orcs called Hammerfell Orsinium before the Redguards moved in and slaughtered them all, and just as recently as a few hundred years ago Orsinium came back as a small kingdom in High Rock. But that too was blown to dust within a century or so.

Suffice to say that the entire Orc race is homeless. That seems a bit sad, considering they're one of the more interesting races in the game.

(Possibly) Not so! Dialogue and loading screens in Skyrim hint that a Neo-neo-Orsinium has been built on the border of High Rock and Skyrim.

I see the Orcs as guys who like to crack open skulls and the guys who crack open the most skulls get all the women.

My main character is an orc for their amazing berserk powers and I couldn't be happier. They were always amazing warriors (Except for in Daggerfall, but that's debatable) and they look better than ever in Skyrim. I'm also thrilled that he's a tank with extra perk points to sneaking and archery which makes him a jack-of-all-trades. No magic? Artifacts, staffs, and precious scrolls say otherwise.

Yes the Orcs in Skyrim are magnificent works of mass destruction and annihilation where one Orc is a one man army. One of my favorite races which am currently playing destroying everything that gets in my way of bringing happiness to Orsinium. Their physical appearance is fearsome excellence and its nice to see the females with more attractive appeal.

Defintiely agree Orcs were probably done the best in Skyrim.

Visually they look really good, and I also like the aesthetics of their armor - a good combination of brutish but elegant (odd though that sounds). My only criticism is that their swords look a little too primitive, though I think their axes look really great. Plus it's too bad there aren't a few quests associated with each hold. I started my first Orc character in Skyrim, but after running around and visiting each Orc Hold and smithing myself (and my Hot Orcish Bride) all Orc weapons and armor I kind of ran out of stuff to do, so I stopped playing him.

Woah! That sounds highly interesting. Could be a fantastic DLC with the Orcs living in Orsinium as a mega powerful ultra defensive fortress empire built specifically to not be destroyed as past incarnations have been due to the other fearful races.

Yea thats what am doing with my current character just using magic weapons, armor and scrolls etc. Didnt feel right actually using pure magic with such strong warrior skills.

I agree about the quests. I was disappointed that the only thing the Chief will do is pick a fight with you. Well there was one quest associated with the stronghold near Riften. Should have been more though. The Orcs are presented really well in Skyrim. Most of the ones in Oblivion just looked silly.

Agreed. Whenever I saw one I was always reminded me of Shrek, which just made it impossible for me to take them seriously then.

That's what I always thought of too! Oblivions Orcs were pretty lame... Now they look like they could rip your arm off with one hand or something, which is how it should be.

It's a step in the right direction, but the lack of quests annoyed me. The story surrounding Chief Mauhulakh would have made an excellent quest, I reckon his family are killing off his wives out of jealousy.
