It's Great that Bethesda is making an MMO

I also hope you take a good amount of time and make sure it is solid before the game is released.

The MMO genre is getting incredibly competitive, fans no longer seem to put up with shenanigans from developers. TOR is a great example of a highly anticipated game that once released seems to have deflated either because end game content isn't all that it could be or they didn't put a lot of thought into a raid that takes two hours for just normal equipment.

What a glorious concept it would be to be able to sit down in an MMO with an hour of time to play and make solid progress once you are complete. Doing a five man raid, competing in some PvP, crafting some items after gathering stuff you need.

A lot of senior MMO gamers I do not think would like to sit down to an MMO and spend five or six hours to do just one event, seems like a stagnant model from a first generation game.

Bethesda has made some of the greatest games and not always traditional mechanics within those games and their fans have always been incredibly grateful and appreciative by continuing to purchase their work. I know I own almost every Bethesda game released to date on the PC, not Morrowind though I mean come on.

What would be great if Bethesda made an MMO with a lot of the aspects people enjoy but also go out on a limb and add in new concepts that make the game play quicker and much more refined.

I for one cannot wait to play and give you truck loads of my money on a month to month basis payment plan.

Bethesda isn't making it. Zenimax Online is.

Completely agreed. It's about time they ventured on new territory.

Bethesda isn't making it.

Because everyone needs to state that. Bethesda Game Studios and ZeniMax Online are both published by Bethesda Softworks which are both parts of ZeniMax Media, yada yada yada, so in conclusion, just saying "Bethesda isn't making it" is just incorrect. Watch the DICE Keynote with Todd Howard to see visually how they're connected (plus he rocks the stage).

I for one am really looking forward to TES:O, and I genuinely believe it's going to be an awesome experience. I also hope they push the boundries of MMO's, and come up with something that is vastly different than everything else. Even not including just dungeons and raids, if they use the Skyrim combat mechanics, only doing PvP could be fantastic. In essence, after 6 good years of WoW, I'd like to see something new. :)
