Just bought the greatest hits edition for ps3 and was wondering if the included dlc content needs to be manually downloaded and installed or if it was part of the updates that were installed when I first put the disk in? Thank you.

The http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greatest_Hits_(PlayStation_range) release is the regular Dishonored, but re-released for a lower price. The DLCs are not included.

Dishonored: Game of the Year Edition is the release that include the DLCs.

Hmmm damn. Makes sense but the case says "add on content" included and I assumed that meant dlc. Thanks for clearing that up Freddo.
