Guard rumour re Dawnguard (voice actor)

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 11:13 pm

Christ Beth, with all the money you have coming in, I'm sure it wouldn't have been too difficult to hire the same voice actor for that one line.

Has anyone else noticed it's a completely different voice actor that is used when you first hear about dawnguard? The guard's voice then suddenly reverts back to the usual actor.

I must add, it was a male guard, not a female, so i can't comment on that one.

I'm watching let's plays. The female voice is the same actress but still suffers from odd quality.

Check this first vid out, just the first 30 seconds or so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5X3TR0vDuI4&feature=related

Same odd "accent" or whatever the hell it's supposed to be. "HUUUUURD der reformeeng tha DAWNGUUUUARD. VVVVVVVVAMPIRE hunters or sometheeng in dee old fort near REEFFFFTEN. Might consider joining myself!"

The male voice is like he's just smoked 40 cigarettes within a minute, then goes back to the usual. Really gruff.

It's a fast-paced world, man! He doesn't have 40 years to develop lung cancer; gotta smoke 'em all at once and chop-chop!

I wouldn't exactly say the consistency of the guards' voice acting in Skyrim was ever a strong point anyway...
