Unfortunate PC player here, who wont be able to play Dragonborn till God knows when, wondering if there are guars in Dragonborn? Did the dunmer bring them to Solstheim?

There aren't any guars. At all.
I think he meant guards. There are plenty of Redoran guards.

But there's not a guar, kagouti, or alit to be found.

Hlaalu's not in the game. You see two or three lesser Hlaalu, & they're mentioned.
But Telvanni, & Redoran each have a presence. Though only the Redoran have guards.
So, I guess yeah. He was more or less wrong across the board.

Yeah, I am too, But everything else I have seen/played can make up for that,

But there are actually good in-game reasons for that. We get lots of juicy info on post-Red Year Dunmer politics.

There's Guards

I haven't gotten Into Morrowind that far, So I Don't know what a Guar is.

But I Haven't seen a Gaur in Dragonborn yet.

One of the new in-game books has a reference to pack guars, if that's any consolation.
