Do you think Half awake sounds more positive then being half a sleep? Sort of a glass half full anology?

I think being half awake is completely different from being half asleep.

Half awake is when you just woke up and you're not fully "awake" yet.

Half asleep is when you're really tired and feel like you're about to fall asleep.

Half-awake sounds silly to me. Honestly never heard it before now.

And the proper answer for the glass question has and always will be:

1. If glass filled to halfway mark, it's half full

2. If glass emptied to halfway mark, it's half empty.

Silly people trying to give spins to various questions a deep insight into a person's outlook on life when logical answers exist...

I'm always either one of the two. Honestly half-asleep sounds better because it gives the feeling that you're tired after a long day and sweet dreamland isn't far away.

Is Schrodinger's Cat half alive or half dead?
A quantum superposition of both alive and dead, created as an example to point out what Schr?dinger believed to have been a flaw in the Copenhagen Interpretation of quantum mechanics

Besides there is no such thing as half of either awake or asleep --- if your not one your the other (unless your dead) and there is no halfway point !

None. Your answer was too logical and short-winded for a discussion of philosophy.

I have signatures disabled. I'd also probably avoid anything in yours or EpicFail's. Just in case there's something in there causing you to make threads like http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1391216-cure-for-boredness/, and it's contagious.

But without threads like that, we'd be stuck having those bland, serious discussions all the time. And no, that isn't sarcasm.

Half awake and half asleep are two different things, at least to me.

Half awake is when you just woke up, but still aren't quite there. Half asleep is when you're have difficulties staying focused due to lack of energy and you could fall asleep just by closing your eyes for too long.

Easy.

YOU should feel ashamed for shaming this shameful discussion.

OT: Half awake and half asleep are mathematically the exact same thing. If you are only half awake then logically you must also be half something else; since the other end of the alertness spectrum is asleep, you must also be half asleep.
