hands wrong way around ?

on default settings with a gamepad the left trigger controls the left hand and the right trigger the right hand

disabling the gamepad because why use it for a first person game when I have access to a mouse?

the left mouse button controls the right hand while the right mouse button controls the left hand

is that right ? it just feels odd to me

I think perhaps since the left mouse button has traditionally operated the main hand or attack hand (right) and the right button used to block (left hand) they simply left it inverted, the only difference being the left hand has other uses than blocking or shield this time around.

Umm.... Tell me, How many games have you played where the character was using their right hand and you used the left mouse button to attack?

If you didn't have an issue then, why would you suddenly have one now? I think you are simply overthinking the issue.

When you think about it...it actually kind of makes sense. Yeah, LMB is traditionally associated with the right hand.

HOWEVER, what svcks is that, if you try to switch the two around, the UI won't display it as changed. So what you see on the screen will still be wrong.

not really making an issue its just the game forced me to use the gamepad (when I first started I moved my mouse pressed my keys nothing happened I picked up my pad it started working so I played the first several minutes with the pad till I got to some actual combat and decided ok I need to use the mouse for this. after using it the other way around and then switching it just kind of felt odd

I will admit if the game had let me use the keyboard and mouse straight up without having to use the gamepad to disable the gamepad honestly I probably wouldn't have noticed

edit:it actually seems alright with a 1h it just feels odd when you dual wield

Can someone tell me how to remap the mouse buttons so that RMB controls right hand and LMB controls left hand? I cannot for the life of me find any game manual on my Steam download copy and I am not finding the mouse buttons intuitive this way round (it's fine with a bow but I'm trying to dual wield weapon + spell and my head is not getting what my hand needs to do! - don't flame me, I'm old), I think I'll get on better if I swap them but without a manual I'm not sure how to do it - is it just in the controls section of the settings menu in game?

Ta xx

Edit: It's OK, once I went into the control settings I was able to do it easily - hopefully this will be more natural for me! Sorry, it always takes me a while to work out controls for new games, I'll get there. Other than this, I'm enjoying myself so far :)

Well, I tried to swapped my hands around, and the game locks up when I do.

I also cannot equip anything to my right hand.
