I thought this was so funny, I wanted to share with you guys.

I got a new TV. It is one of those Smart TVs. I tried to use the voice options, like it said to do.

After a bit, I was able to change the volume by saying, "volume up".

When the wife came home, I tried it, and it didn't work. Of course we all laughted. Then I tried

again, didn't work, got frustrated and said, F U. 10 seconds later, the TV spoke back and said

"Please don't hurt my feelings"

I was stunned. I looked at my wife, and asked "did the TV just say that?" We all had a great

laugh.

Just thought I would share. No I don't want to curse at the TV no more LOL.

It recognizes swear words better than it recognizes the most basic commands?
Sounds like that will get annoying

With the amount of cussing out I give technology, this response would be about the only one I ever got.

Perhaps it just needs a little encouragement. Something like "volume up, or die".

At one point I was on the phone with my cell service provider and was getting frustrated trying to get to a real person. I finally started swearing at the automated system and a few seconds later heard, "please hold for the next available customer service representative..."

I find that these systems will transfer you if they can not understand what you are saying. So, as soon as I get one, I just start gargling and growling until it transfers me to a human.

Korea has not invaded Japan. Samsung is a South Korean company.

Or sometimes pressing 0 (zero) will get you to a live operator as well.

I think it got an operator on the moment you said 'F U!', so it was the human telling you to not cuss at him/her.
