They both work. Given the choice, I'd get it for pc and play with a 360 controller. Maybe hook it up to a big flatscreen, too!

Edited for typos because my iPod likes to autocorrect incorrectly.

I suggest Xbox then. If you have no interest in mods.

pc $1000

xbox $250

pc upgrades over 6 years $1000

xbox upgrades $000000000

That depends, if you get a really powerful gaming PC aren't you likely to have a FAR more stable and bug free experience than if you play on console ? I mean I know my original save was completely ruined by lockups on console, wouldn't CTD's never happen on a really powerful PC ?

Maybe, but current gen consoles are starting to end their age limit I guess you could call it.
Pc on other hand, sure you may have to spend extra on upgrades every now and then but not that much.
Besides give a year or two and the next -gen consoles will be out and you'll need to buy one of those.
Just my two cents.

We get it, you think that you have to have a state of the art PC to play new games and use an X-Box. Great Job.

If you can take running games at medium or low settings you can go for about six years without a big upgrade, or just a minor graphics card update for about $100.

I'd wait and do the PC when you get $1,000. You can build a beast for less and still have some left over for a 1080p monitor (or 1600p, even better). That's just my take on it, but getting an XBox seems like a waste of money given the next generation is just around the corner and your new rig, if set up right, will still run circles around the XBox 720/Hypercube or whatever they're gonna call it for years to come.

You already seem to be biased toward the Xbox, so just get that.

I am being friendly. You'd know if I wasn't. I'd be more angry. Night time usually is when I'm happier.

This.

Though my vote is for saving for a PC. I say for a good budge PC you should wait until you have $750.

Donate it to someone who doesn't need to be told what to do with it, like myself.
