Not sure if this is sacrilege among the general gaming populace, but I have a terrible habit where I'll start a new character in a game with any remote RPG-ish elements (Mass Effect, Skyrim, Fable, etc.) before finishing the character I made before. Then doing it again until next thing I know I have almost a dozen characters.

Any tips on how to work on this?

Saying, "Don't do it dumbface." doesn't help. I think part of the problem is I don't spend enough time creating my character or taking the right path with them. Going to put more thought into character creation rather than just blazing through the process.
