I've watched my dad play a bit of Skyrim. Hes a grinder in games and doesn't mind spending time doing monotonous tasks I can't stand them. I've recently taken a liking to Skyrim on the Xbox 360.
My question is pretty straight forward. Will I eventually have to pick up crafting to have the best armor? Dragonbone and Daedric? Do those armors have a chance to drop in game? Are there ways to avoid crafting and have top tier armors?
Daedric and Dragonbone/scale items have a really low chance of spawning as loot. Even if something does spawn, you'd likely never find a whole set even if you played straight for a year.

Ask yourself if you even need the "best" gear. All armor materials, except maybe Fur and Leather, can reach the Armor Cap with the right combo of Perks and Skills. Some don't even require any crafting at all, almost none require a grind to the top for Deadric or Dragonbone.
Armor choice comes down to Aesthetics and Role in this game, not stats.
