Have a DLC breaking glitch and I'm getting very frustrated :

Basically, long story short, I head to the Dawnguard fort, head inside, get asked by Isran if I want to join, join up, then listen to Tolan say two lines about Dimhollow and Brother Adavall...and that's it. The first quest gets completed but the following quest "Awakening" doesn't start. I try to talk to Tolan but he just says the stock standard NPC "yeah?" and "Uhm?". I try to talk to Isran about my next quest and he says nothing new. The other recruit won't move and initiate his training animation or dialogue and I don't get given a crossbow.

I tried console commands to start the next quest, which half worked. Everyone was still in their places but at least I had a quest marker, but it pointing someone completely different in game. I went to Dimhollow and found Brother Adavaal, and killed the vampires in the central chamber, only to have Serana talk to me from underground under the alias "Mysterious Woman" without me having to do the puzzle at all. I decided to leave it at that until tomorrow when I might try some more things.

I've been trying to play Dawnguard for about a week now, and this is getting VERY annoying. If anyone has any suggestions or has had any similar experiences I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

Also, on a couple of side notes, I couldn't add dragonbone weapons through the console either. Some of them even had 5 variants and none of them placed the item in my inventory. I also cured myself of lycanthropy just after installing Dawnguard, because I read being a werewolf can cause a couple of glitches, could that be it? It has worked on a different save but this is my main which I've put about 200 hours into and I would not be happy if I couldn't do Dawnguard with him.

I ran through once with a werewolf, accidentally deleted his file though lol.

But uhh... I dunno what to tell you. You're entire game sounds messed up. All I could suggest is reinstalling dawnguard.

I feared that. I'll try reinstalling but I'll probably have to just use a different char. Thanks anyway.

I did it as a werewolf, and only changed after it was finished...there were a couple of bugs, but not related to werewolfing (mind you, I never used it during the dlc).

@OP: Which mods are you running apart from Dawnguard?
