So I have finally given in.........

So after being a life-long console gamer, I've decided to make the leap to PC for gaming. My setup can be seen here http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Q5QI, except I went for a 7950 gpu.

All of my parts come in this week, and my free copies of Bioshock Infinite, Crysis 3, and the new Far Cry Blood Dragon. Any other things to know about PC gaming? I'm planning on getting Skyrim for it as well. Any other good games you guys (and gals) can recommend?

Just kinda looking for the run-down on how to switch into this new community.

Yes, be sure to check out the mod boards for your PC games, the one huge advantage that platform has over consoles. Especially for the Bethesda titles. The main one for those is called Nexus, with variations like Skryim Nexus, Fallout 3 Nexus etc.

The Fallout series would be a good bet. Both Fallout 3 and New Vegas are very good games. Even Oblivion can be interesting if you add a bunch of mods, though it would be something of a step backwards as far as graphics are concerned. They're still not bad though, just not as good as the later games.

I'm pretty interested in trying out some mods for my games, I'm not sure how it'll all work, but I supposed mods might run differently depending on the game.

I've played Oblivion and Fallouts 3 and New Vegas on console already, is there anything to make them worth re-visiting?

Just go to Steam and GOG and pig out every time you see a sale.

For some indies on Steam I'd go with FTL, To the Moon, and The Binding of Isaac are three I've been playing. You should also check out Monaco:What's Yours Is Mine! when that comes out later this month.
