I have a problem with my game on PC, its spawning dead NPC's

Post » Fri Feb 15, 2013 11:12 am

A few days ago I lost a 50+ hr game due to me removing mods. So this time I started over and this time new save and no mods and the game is spawning dead NPC"s. It docent happen all the time but its enough for me to notice. I am only 10hrs in the game and I don't want to have a major crash 50+ hrs again. Do you guys think its possable that there is some form of a mod left over conflicting? Do you think I should delete skyrim and my new game and start from scratch again? Or do you think ill be ok?

I'm almost sure it's an effect from some mod. However, figuring out which mod is causing it should prove to be quite difficult. And for that I'll leave it up to this forums's PC pros around here to assist you.

I deleted all the mods but I am wondering if there is left over parts from a mod.

Oh, I see. I never had any of that sort of trouble after already having removed mods. Removing any mods also removed what ever trouble I was having as I'm sure that's what you were intending.

But like I said, I'll leave this difficult stuff up to our resident PC people who are experts in such matters. Perhaps you might find more luck having this thread moved to the Skyrim PC help board.

Well I decided to give Skyrim a clean flush and deleted all the Skyrim files and saves and I am re~downloading now. And I will NEVER i do mean NEVER use mods in any game ever again. This is 4+ start overs for me I just want to finish the game! Every time I mess with mods something bad happens.

it's better to never remove mods or disable mods could be bad for that saved game file or saved games files you have for character or character's. just play with the mods. you already have installed but to me mods are questionable to use id stay with the current only the top skyrim mods from nexus unless your getting mods from steam then idk. because I've been playing skyrim on pc since about 4 month's and logged over 1000 hours of game play I lost about 900 due to issues with mods conflicting with the default game . or some or certain mods are outdated because the mod author doesn't update the mod or they don't play skyrim any more. and certain mod's don't work with the certain DLC or because of updates on skyrim.
