So... I have a REAL problem. Cannot Save Plugin.

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 1:34 am

So, whenevr I try to load my mod in game now, the game refuses to load it and proceed to the Main Menu.

Of Primary concern, when I open the creation kit, and try to save my mod, I am faced with the following warning:

MASTERFILE: Unable to complete operation due to failure removing previous file.

Plugin 'Data\MOD1Q.esp' may be locked or read only.

Temp file 'Data\Mod1Q.tes' contains save data.

"Yes to all" will disable all Warnings for this context.

So... I somehow made my mod Read-only, and now I can't save it. I have no clue how I did this or how to undo it. I hope someone has some ideas. Otherwise I'm SOL.

Appreciate any help. I need it. Bad.

Game's Not open... Unless it's running in the background

Herp XD.. I'm freaking out... while simultaneously having 6 Instances of TESV Running XD

Didn't show up as an application. Don't know why I didn't check that.

That means the file is already in use. Make sure the game is closed, and any other programs that actively load your plugin.

If your game refuses to load, it means a master is missing. Make sure your load order doesn't have any issues.

What do you mean by Load Order?

What do you mean by Load Order?
The order in which esm/esp files are loaded when you start the game. If you're going to mod you should definitely learn what that is, and the nuances of it.

If you click 'Data Files' in the Skyrim Launcher, it will show you your load order. Ensure that all enabled esm's are above all enabled esp's, and that you have all the masters that your mods require to load.

OH yea... Knew that. Just didn't know the term. Yea... Got it all to work.

Reason I was having issues is Skyrim was running 6 times in the background. Didn't see it at first, freaked out.

Having some serious issues with my MOD still though.
