What does getting married bring to the mighty adventurer, do you get a free companion that will travel with you and fight with you? Or is this a person that stays home and smiles when you get there? What have you guys heard about this and what perks does it add to your gaming experience?

You get a meal everyday, a companion and a "Very well rested" perk when you sleep together. I think that's it.

It is your choice, you can have your spouse accompany you as a companion or you can choose to move in with them and have them stay home.

there is an trophy for ps3, and acheivement for 360, for getting married.
so if you own a ps3 you can't get the platinum trophy unless your married.

You can bring her on your adventures, and there is a bonus you get if you sleep in bed with her I think. Other then that, I don't know. I won't be using a companion at all, they annoy the crap out of me. I don't like being followed, so I might just do it for the well rested bonus.

I expect nothing more then basic interactions with a spouse, but who really knows...I haven't seen the mechanics for marriage, but I'm not expecting much (heh, I didn't even expect *that* to be added as a game mechanic).
