Have you ever seen a UFO?

Post » Fri Oct 05, 2012 7:50 am

First off let it be known that I'm not saying anything is of alien origin. I am just sharing my story of the unexplainable thing in the sky which was most likely an airplane.

Now these both happened at work while I was outside pushing carts in.

The first time I saw a red light in the distance at night and it just slowly flyed over head. At first I thought it was an airplane, but the reason I have some doubt is that this was just one solid red light and it made no noise as it flew overhead.

Now the second one happened during the evening. The sky was tinged with a shade of red on the horizon. Out from a cloud a light flew out, and I thought it was weird as a plane's light shouldn't be seen at this time of day. So it just drifted off to the left towards another cloud at a brisk pace. I looked away for a moment and looked back and the light was gone, and at its current speed there was no way that it got to the other cloud.

Those are the only two instances I have experienced.

I'm willing to bet it's some super secret CIA aircraft used to gather our thoughts for the government.(Watching movies on Syfy didn't help)
Or it could just be something out of Area 51.

I have seen all kinds of things flying around up in the sky that I could not identify. But, I am not a trained plane spotter.

As a former professional pilot, I've seen many things strange and bizarre in the skies. Many of them seemed almost alien or artificially controlled. But then when I saw these strange "controlled craft" over and over, I realised they weren't that strange or bizarre (and usually not craft). The mind plays tricks when looking at the sky, or when looking at things through the varying atmosphere as you fly about.

The object you saw was a light. As such, it's impossible for you to know how far away the object was. The fact you heard no sound would suggest it was much further away than you thought.

I see UFOs all the time, but that's probably because I'm too ignorant to realize what I actually saw.

I've seen many shooting stars, other bright flickering lights most likely that are airplanes. Sadly not seen a UFO yet.

It's well known that Jesus uses flying saucers to cruise the states and go creepin' around for hot babes.

Seriously though I can't say I've really seen anything too strange or questionable in the skies.

Yes I have seen one and being smart enough I haven't told people except my family to avoid gratuitous mockery. That's why I'm not going to give details here either, you can believe me or more likely not, no hard feelings. I have seen one in broad daylight, that's all.

Looks like we're in the same neighborhod. Wright-Pat is less distance than that from me. The only thing I ever see flying overhead from there are usually your generic aircraft not too unlike your everyday passenger craft. Never seen anything out of the ordinary fr there.

I'm curious to know why you fear mocking for something you saw that didn't know what it was? Lots of people see things they don't know what they were seeing, usually talking about it helps you learn identify what you saw.

My grandmother was in their backyard so we saw the Cargo planes and f-16's fly over all the time. And once I saw a stealth bomber fly over there.

When I was a kid, maybe 8 or 9 I was out one evening riding a http://www.stigagames.com/products.php?prodid=284 in the snowy hills within a forest, and suddenly see what I thought was a UFO, got really scared and hurried back home as fast as I possible could. It was most likely just a meteor shower though :P

We do have water in my town.

I really wish I had seen something like what OP has seen, but everything I've seen in the skys I've been able o figure out that it's really something very explainable. Not saying that there aren't any other inteligent life out there, I just don't think we're interesting enough or advanced enough to warrant this sort of attention.

A stealth bomber? That would be pretty awesome!

When I was a kid we had a few huge cargo planes fly over my house real low. One of the loudest noises I've ever heard in my life.

It wasn't a very good stealth bomber if you saw it.

It was taking off I think, so it was still really low. If you walked down the street from my grandmas house you can see one of the runways of Wright-Pat.

Surprising to me the loudest llane I have heard was an A-10 flying over my home for no reason. I seriously thought there was an earthquake because it shook the house so much. :P

True story: When the Stealth Bomber was first being shown off around the world at it's first public unveiling, the company my friend was a director off was showing off their new radar tracking technology as it flew past. They were able to track it arriving, flying around and departing. Needless to say, they had a successful show and got a few orders. When the press got a hold of the story, the US tried to claim they were using non-stealth paint so that the Russians wouldn't be able to steal it (the paint).

Heh, stealth is a very relative term in aircraft design.

Edit: Spooky! I was trying to find the news stories, but can't find any reference on the net! Either I've forgotten how to google, or there is a cover up! If you guys don't hear from me again, I was taken by "them". (Or am playing the new X-Com game. - see, I managed to get back on topic again, yeah!)
