Now with that Dragonborn expansion coming I've gotten renewed interest in this game. How much better does the game run under version 1.8 compared to about a year ago, at least on PC? I know there's an unofficial patch (as expected), but I want to know if they really improved the game performance.

I didn't realise there were any performance issues on the PC, aside from the occasional glitches... which are still present.

There's mounted combat now, and finisher moves for archery - both of which are useless to me as a 1st person player.
