I am having a hard time sticking with one character.

So I have 181 hours into Skyrim and haven't played more than 9 hours with one character. I am getting bored of that character and making a new one. So, does anyone have any tips on how to create a character I will love and want to stick with, or am I just crazy and should stop playing video games all together?

I had that problem. Quit several characters due to overpoweredness, and others due to lack of a proper RP background. Current character solved both problems. I'm even writing his RP diary, which helps me grow even more attached to him (link is in my sig). I suggest you take a few hours and brainstorm your perfect character that will solve whatever problems are causing you to restart.

this is me in a nutshell, have made dozens of chars to make the most enjoyable char.
once you have made a few, make a choice and stick with it, something with variety that will keep you interested, maybe magic? as it has quite a few schools to learn, and ways of using them.
but whatever you do, make a decision soon, or else you would have done pretty much all the content of skyrim over 12 different play throughs, and each play through you do, you won't level up enough to really expereince the better parts of the game, with better loot and tougher mobs etc.

Multiple playthroughs are very fun. But I tend to stick to one character for a long time.

Cheers

I am starting to can my characters around level 30. Once you reach level ~30-35 the game becomes trivial, even on master difficulty. So I start up a new character.

Do you play Dead is dead? For me it attacthes me to my characters a lot more. After I restarted 4 or 5 times because of deaths, with none last more than 4 hours, Ive become in love with my current wood elf. But sadly i know he will perish soon.
