Headphone recommendations?

Post » Mon Sep 23, 2013 6:33 pm

Does anyone have any decent headphone recommendations? I'm not looking for a mic nor something ridiculously expensive. I'd like them to be comfortable, however. My budget is $30-50 max. Thanks.

My first recommendation would be http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826816005, but for your pricerange, these two are pretty decent; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826158082 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104840.

I have a pair of http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-audio/razer-electra that I'm very happy with, and they fall into your price range. :)

I will second the Logitech G230. If I'm not using my Sony headset, I'm using this pair. Logitech - it isn't the absolute best but it gets the job done and it lasts a really long time at that above average quality.

When you can spend a little more on headphones, I'd highly recommend an Ultrasone Edition 8. They're incredible quality at a reasonable price (relatively speaking).

But back in my early days I was an earbud kind of guy. Always went with Skullcandy, the $23 pairs.

I would recommend the PS3 wireless headphones, but they cost around $100. Not to mention the batteries for those things will crap out after 4 to 6hrs and it takes a good 3hrs to charge em back up.

I'll do what I always do and recommend Sennheisers. Yes, most will blow your budget; on the other hand, most of my headphones used to last six months max before they developed a bad enough problem that they needed to be binned, whereas I bought my Sennheiser HD25SPs in 1998 and I'm still using them.

I have the HD558, and I'm loving them. Sennheiser is the way to go!

I've looked at those before but I just can't see myself ever being able o justify a few $100 on a set of headphones.
