Heads Up

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 11:49 pm

Confirmed so far about Hand to Hand:

Only one power attack - standing power attack. No forward, sideways, or backward power attack.
No sneak attack bonus - you are stuck with a 2x sneak attack bonus.
One attack animation - right fist does right hook, left fist does left hook. No power attacks and no alternate animations.

Just a heads up to those considering for a moment about going with hand to hand.

Severely disappointing. A lack of variety blows away my intended character.

Also, Hand to Hand is not tied to two handed or one handed, as previously believed.
Thus, you can only increase damage, and keep it up to par with 'real' weapons, by enchanting every piece of your gear with +h2h damage.

The biggest bummer imo is no power attacks, and no stealth bonuses. Really makes hand to hand entirely useless in actual use.

if people have taken hand to hand further than I, perhaps they'd have something to say

Tying h2h to heavy armor seems really strange, wouldn't have it been more fitting to attribute it to light armor?
(If you have to give it to an armor skill...)

Which one makes more sense? The light armored monk, or the heavy armored ninja?
