Healing Limitations?

Can you only heal yourself and other players? Meaning, is it possible to heal NPCs? Pets? Enemies? If so, is there a benefit to healing enemies like gaining extra skill points for using the heal skill?

Also, is there a cure spell? I see a lot about healing and increasing regeneration of health/magicka/stamina, but not a whole lot about curing or preventing status effects with spells.

I saw an alliance ability to purge multiple effects from your allies. I also remember a spell, i think it's the third one down in the templar tree - After you morph it, you have an option to upgrade it to cure 2 effects from allies

Thanks for the cure details!

Along the same lines as the original healing question, can you cast this cure spell on your summoned pets/creatures? Do the AoE cure/heal spells auto cure your summoned creatures/pets?

Can you cast spells on them at all? I assume AoE damage spells would hurt enemy creatures so I want to believe AoE cure spells would cure summoned creatures. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

It kills me that I was not invited to the beta to find this out myself :)

Thanks for the intel guys!
