Hearthfire, and The Construction Kit

I know, and envy everyone on the X-Box with the coming of this DLC in just a few days for them is exciting news to be sure.

But, I would like to draw attention that eventyually this will find its way onto the PC version eventually. and thus, it will mean some serious changes need to be made in preporations for that fact. one change will be the compatability of this Hearthfire DLC with The Construction Kit.

when this thing goes out for the PC, the construction kit will need to accomidate the fact that we could build varriablde structures in the same space, and that we will be able to change these buidings at will. so as it may actually be a tad early to determine the exact details. but, clearly this will mean big things are coming with this new type of gameplay. if we can claim plots for ourselves and as the information thus revealed already implyes, other NPC's which we sell them to, that will let the player actually controll the content within these plots.

Thus this may actually mean that if one was to use these plots within the construction set, what can we do in terms of gameplay with these plots? will we be able to use the construction set to actually place some player ownable plots ourselves? could we in a sense actually create a small valley with the set, and then place down some empty and undeveloped plots, and let the player actiually purchase them, and then build them up how they choose? if we will see it bieng possible to create and edit your own custom buildable plots, then one could assume that the set could even develope NPC's that buy and develope these variable plots themselves as well.

If that is the case, technically you could even become the mayor or if you will, a Yarl of your own town or keep. The possabilities of this then, is actually stageringly limitless if you choose to imagine it. we may not know really the peticular details, even right up to or possibly some time after this DLC actually comes out, but im actually pretty interested in seeing what this thing will do to the game.

Barring a delay in the release of the associated scripts, it is conceivable to reverse engineer how they determine the land plots and the building process, and modify the system to create a shack/home/boat/etc. This is definitely going to be a rich resource for Creation Kit users.

I need a pc for these kind of Awesome Mods.

Eat/Sleep/Drink
Weather.

And just an Arena almost completely like Oblivion. :(

Yeah, probably, but it would probably not be easily. You'd probably need to know enough scripting that you couldl just make and entirely new mod that does the same thing as the DLC. And I think anyone who would know enough would prefer to make their own mod, because anyone can use it for free, they have the source code, it's easier to modify, etc. I mean, it's probably going to be fully scripted and not hard-coded, so... it's really unlikely that they're going to have "House plot" objects that you can just place wherever you want and they'll automatically work. But the good thing is: It's not really that complicated (I mean, I could probably make a mod that does the same thing from scratch by myself), so there will probably be plenty of mods that will allow you to build in different locations and build different things.

Guys. PC has the Creation Kit. Meaning you can build anything anywhere. It doesn't need Hearthfire with it's 3 plots of land (or whatever).

I'm gonna call it and say this will not be coming to PC. It's completely unnecessary.

It is completely necessary. On the PC. We want the scripts. We want to see how Bethesda did it.

It doesn't matter that we can use the CK to build anywhere - that fact is irrelevant in this context.
