Hearthfire - build your own house

Post » Thu Aug 23, 2012 3:02 am

Saw a webpage stating some information that was found about the new DLC that we know will be called Hearthfire, it says that the player will be able to build anything from a one room cottage to a huge compound, im unsure if listing my source is against the rules, so I will refrain from doing so.

If this information has already been posted, or if its been proven fake, then please ignore this

Just like to know what you think about the prospect of this?

Hearthfire hasn't even been confirmed yet, so I find this difficult to believe...

But the topic of house-building is generally seen very positively here, so it would be a very welcomed feature IMO.

I share your doubt, but the origin of the source is supposedly trusted so we can just hope

Theres no saying that it would be the only subject of the DLC, but judging from the source it would be the main selling point, IF its legit ofcourse

As much as I would like a house I could build myself and put where I wanted to ( for the most part anyway) I'm not sure that I would buy a DCL that that was the only thing in it.

perhap's if it added other content as well it might be worth it, plus a couple new quests.

There's already a mod that allows you to build a costomizable house

IF it's true, it sounds like more than just building a house - it's like building your own estate/compound. Think of it as like having a customizable version of the Strongholds you could get in Morrowind. While this probobly won't appeal much to PC players, it would be great for the console players who can't just mod in their own housing.

Not everyone has a PC capable of running skyrim, and not everyone wants to use mods..

I can't imagine why any PC player would pick 1 official house DLC over droves of player-made mods, some pretty decent.
