I was just wondering were do you have to go to buy property for hearthfire is it in the hold were the land is or does a courier come up to you to tell you about home ownership or what ever?

I'm pretty sure it involves you talking to a Jarl, though I could be wrong.

That's what I'd assume. Perhaps acquiring a deed from the Jarl, and being given advice/other necessities from the Steward?

Jarl or Steward.

Probably Jarl cause it's his land.
Or Stuard cause jarl's are lazy

To elaborate on that, I agree with another post around here, about how I really, really hope it's something you have to actually work for to get. A completely broke, fresh-off-the-wagon character shouldn't be able to be like "Hey, I just escaped Helgen and killed a few wolves. I sold their pelts, so now I can afford to buy some of your land and build a gigantic ass house."

That was, of course, an exaggeration, but I think it got my point across.

I'm all for a bit of work. Now you're making me hope for a new quest to get each deed. Don't get me guessing, man! Heh.

Hahaha, my bad. House-building has been near the top of my Most Wanted list since Skyrim came out, and the closer it gets to dropping, the more anxious I get. I'm doing my best to go in with very, very low expectations, though, to avoid disappointment if some things aren't how I ideally pictured them.

P.S. I'm not doing so well in the Low Standards department. *fingers still crossed for a midnight release*
