You might know this by now, but if you go to the drafting table you can change your front enterance from the small home set up to an actual enterance way.

[EDIT: Also, my regular saw mill seller (the one in Riverwood) has disappeared and I can't seem to find him anywhere. Some woman and a dark elf show up daily but he is no where to be found. The mills near falkreath also have no one except the guy who is involved in the vampire quest, whom won't help you with anything. I searched for about four hours for a mill with a person and finally found one near windhelm that some woman owns and even then had to break into her house to buy. Any ideas what's happened?]
