Here is my problem with upgrading my armor. If i'm playing a "good" person and i'm using heavy armor i end up looking pretty evil when i get late-game armor.
Its like.. the better the armor the more evil you look. Like there is a armor piece that literally makes you look like the Lich-King

What should i do? Remain with low level armor?

Download a texture mod that changes the way armors look or that adds brand new high end armor.

don't see how armour can look evil. It can look brutal, but that doesn't mean it's evil.

Stick to wearing the plate/steel/iron armour.

Heavy armour is supposed to be intimidating to enemies. It's not ornate namby pamby stuff made of sunshine and lollypops!

Playing a lawful neutral alignment character here too. You can always stick to Dwarven armor, that armor is pretty paladin:ish. I've been wearing it for a while now.

Haven't really seen how Ebony, Daedric or Dragon armor looks yet. But I can pretty much picture that Daedric armor will look pretty evil:ish.

This has always been a problem (or 'feature') with TES games. Late-game armor, especially heavy armor, makes a huge leap from low fantasy to comic-book high fantasy.

They toned down glass armor (thankfully) but Ebony actually looks more ridiculous in Skyrim than it did in Oblivion and Daedric armor has always looked crazy.

Well if your opinion is entirely based on in-characterly roleplaying... Then why are you roaming around town with a full suit of heavy armor? Nobody does that. I always swap for clothes while in towns, either that or just remove the helm/add a hood. Amazing how menacing looks can be removed when you don't want to look menacing.

Hey, Morrowind Glass was about the most awesome looking equipment ever designed for any game.

Personally don't think Ebony looks all that evil for high end armor, though going with a different helmet to make your face visible would work wonders on reducing what scary factor it does have. Steel Plate is also very nice mid-level armor and can probably get you through most of the game, especially if you keep your smithing high so you can upgrade it.

I think ebony looks insanely cool, while at the same time not trespassing into the comic book massive shoulder pads style.

Why you posting spoilers? You some kind of console player?

I renamed my set of enchanted Ebony armor that my character is currently wearing with the suffix -of the paladin. Even though it has a dark color tone, the ornate details and even general design is well within what I could see a neutral or even lawful good character wearing.
