My Heavy Armor Skill is 79.

Perks are:

Juggernaut 3/5
Fists of Steel
Cushioned
Conditioning
Well Fitted
Tower of Strength
Matching Set

I have the following Heavy Armor equipped:

Ahzidal (mask) - Weight: 9
Nordic Carved Armor (Flawless) - Weight: 37
Orcish Gauntlets of Major Archery - Weight: 7
Nordic Carved Boots of Muffle - Weight: 6

I found Ebony Armor (weight: 38). When I equip it, my encumbrance jumps by 38. When I equip the items I have posted above, I don't suffer a weight penalty. If anything, my encumbrance is reduced so long as I have all Heavy Armor equipped. Yet that changes when I equip the Ebony (which is still Heavy Armor).

I read the Heavy Armor entry on UESP, and the only thing it says is there is sometimes a bug with Ebony Armor being governed by the Unhindered perk in the Light Armor perk tree accidentally.

Am I reading the Conditioning perk correctly? If I'm wearing all Heavy Armor, it weighs nothing against my encumbrance. Removing it encumbers me back to normal.

Assuming I don't have the glitch, am I missing something? Maybe I'm not understanding the armor and its perks properly?

Just tried something. Removed all the items listed above. They total 59 pounds, BUT...removing all of them adds 102 pounds to my encumbrance...?!?!

*confused*
