HELIOS One - That lucky Old Sun

Do you have to have 75 in Science in the eastern reflector control terminal or is there another way? Another thing I don't understand is that there are NCR war dogs in the eastern reflector control terminal and why do they attack me? If I kill them do I get infamy with the NCR?

Thank you for now.

You can get the passwords for both by looking around/talking with everyone-unfortunately I can't remember the details, though I'm pretty sure you get one from the one Follower of the Apocalypse character. That or Fantastic. But in other words, no-you don't. So long as you can find the passwords.

And I always figured they were placed there to guard the computer. In any case, you won't gain infamy of any sort by killing them.

in the room upstairs where the dc journal of medicine skill book is, check all the lockers desks etc in that room, both of the keycards are there, one for each terminal, when you first go into the helios one building, turn right. hope that helps.

My companion attacked the guard dogs during the day when NCR troopers were around, and they all turned very hostile!
(I abandoned the quest at that point by reloading, then did it later, during the night when they were all asleep.)

Okay thank you very much for the answers. I am activating the power but what are the differences in where I sent the power to? And also why should I want to kill all NCR nearby? Is there a quest related that I haven’t got or something because it seems a little strange sometimes.

Thank you again.

Did this one lately. Basically you have to talk to the scientist from the followers. He's near Fantastic. I believe he gives you the password to the terminal. Killing the guard dogs wont give any infamy. I assume it's done to keep it a little bit challanging or something. When you are up you have the option to direct the power to new vegas or to distribute the power to everywhere in the mojave wasteland. Besides that you can kill the nearby NCR by activating the defence system. It gives a little infamy but it's fun to do. I'm not 1000 % sure on this.

And was it all to to in the HELIOS One?

Thank you again.

if you send the power to everywhere equally the followers of the apocalypse guy in the helios one building will give you a science skill book so i always do that option, send power everywhere.

I don't know, but it perhaps depends on your loyalties/factions/whether you're an evil character?

Okay thank you very much. Is there any other quests at HELIOS One and could you use the weapon to attack any Legion bases?

If you send the power to Archimedes II and get Euclid's C-Finder, you can send a giant space death laser to anywhere you want :celebration:

Then to send it to "The Strip" and the camp is just to get fame. Thank you very much.

Well last thing. As I thought the Brotherhood quests got related to the HELIOS One quest. Does it matter what you choice in "I could make you care"?

Yes, if you send the power to Archimedes II, you get the easiest option in completing that quest. If you send power anywhere else, you'll have to get the buggy farming tech or the hell of vault 34 to get the Pulse Gun. Getting the orbital laser is the best option no doubt. The region can burn before my death laser :flamethrower:

Actually, if you have the caps you can buy a Pulse Gun at the Silver Rush for less than 700 caps. I love seeing what it does to robots. Most excellent. :flamethrower: :shocking:
