hi, i haven't played any of the elder scrolls games before and i've only just picked up skyrim then i heard that there was going to be a MMO. which i thought cool, might be woth a look. then more details came out that it would be a 3 faction game which i was glad about as my 1st mmo was DAOC back in 2001 where i played a tree hugging hib. the more i hear about the game the more i'm looking forward to it.

then i sat down and started to play skyrim and while i was hacking people up with my axe and killing off live stock for leather. it came to me that i don't know anything about the world that it is set in. so is there a guide to the lore / history that i can start looking at to give me some clue on what has been going on in the world.

The best source for overall TES info is http://www.imperial-library.info/, but they haven't updated with Skyrim. The http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Main_Page has a lot of Skyrim info, but their overall lore isn't as accurate as TIL. Have fun reading.

By all means read the Lore but dont trust it. There is no such thing as accurate history
