Description:
This mod adds a new unique helmet to the game that is scripted to automatically close or open whenever the player draws or sheathes their weapon. This works for the player character only. If given to a follower, the visor will remain in the open position
It is made of ebony, but the stats are just below that of a vanilla ebony helmet because it is thinner/lighter.
There are lenses built into the visor that give you 3 levels of zoom when firing a ranged weapon, just press "K" to toggle through them (if you have SkyUI installed, you can set this key to whatever you want by going into the Mod Configuration Menu)
The helmet is located inside the vanilla dungeon "Kagrenzel", the only clue i'll give you is that it was left next to a chest...
Requirements:
This mod relies on SKSE to work. You can download it at http://skse.silverlock.org
Install:
Just move the esp and bsa into your .../skyrim/data folder
Uninstall:
1. Leave the helmet in a container inside one of the taverns.
2. Fast travel to the other side of the map
3. Save (brand new ones, not overwrite)
4. Open the console and enter "setstage KeepersHelmetQuest 999"
5. Wait 30 seconds then save again
6. Exit the game, remove the mod from your load order
7. Load the game and the last save, then immediately make a new save
8. Exit again and remove the mod files from your data folder
9. You can now continue playing from that last save
Cheating:
If you want to get the helmet without going through Kagrenzel, or you just want an extra one for your companion, open up the console and type "coc HelmetTestCell". You'll be transported to the test cell where you will find it on the floor. To get back to Skyrim just type "coc WhiterunBanneredMare"
Known Issues:
- Due to the nature of the behind the scenes mechanics, adding the helmet to your favourite list is pointless, it will just get removed the moment you draw your weapon.
- If you have the console command "tfc" running while the switch takes place, the second helmet doesnt render (leaving your character bald) until you open and close the main menu
