Help after Ring-a-Ding-Ding

Post » Thu Jan 13, 2011 6:24 am

Alright so my problem is im not really sure which faction to side with. I have obtained the platinum chip back from Benny, and now ive been suggested to give it to Caesar's Legion, Mr house, and to also take an independent path (Wildcard), and im assuming there's a quest for NCR too.

So i guess my questions are:
1) What are the pros and cons of siding with each faction?
2) Is Mr. House considered good or evil? I looked into his quests and they seem pretty lengthy and destructive.
3) Seeing as how i have a quest for each faction now (Render unto Caesar, The house always wins, Wildcard: ace in the hole, ect), can I do all of them? Or just pick one faction and do their quest but lose the others? (This is what im assuming happens)

Thanks for the help in advance!

1-Not much difference other than hostile NCR/Legion hit squads. And the endgame of course.
2-That's for you to decide :) Just talk to him and form your opinion.
3.Only up to a certain point. After progressing far enough with a faction, you'll get "dummy quests" which will say that if you continue with that faction, other faction quests will fail.

1)There aren't really any pros or cons
2)I wouldn't say he's evil, just that he wants to be the only ruler in New Vegas.
3)You can work for all 4 to a point but, you will have to choose a side sooner or later.

So, just pick a side then replay it with another side.

Take the dummy-quest warning to heart, too....they mean it. I think it's the very next quest you complete on whatever path you're on, that causes the failures of whatever faction the warning is referring to.

Alright, thanks for the replies. Another question: does doing the wild card individual quest affect the other faction quests? Like if i did the wild card quest, would i still be able to pick a faction quest to follow?

edit: also is there a NCR quest related to the platinum chip? And if so how do i start it?

At a point in "Wild Card" you fail all other faction quests.

Edit: About the chip, it can help in a NCR quest but, is not needed.
Also it's part of the main quest.

Yeah, chip not needed. the NCR main path in the Strip starts with Dennis Crocker. When you get to the Strip a NCR messenger should soon give you a message that Crocker wants to see you.
