Who's to say we wish for traitorous thoughts? If it has already broken its oath's once, the snake is likely to shed its skin once again.

The pure thought of the Altmer killing nine out of ten babies born to them in their obsession for purity sounded so attractive didn't it? Very imaginable.

On a more serious note, what made me choose AD was 1) Completely new landmasses I've never seen 2) I like elves 3) I really really REALLY want to see Summerset Isles 4) Altmer seems like the best race for a mage-using Templar based on its racials 5) I've always felt bad for the non-Thalmar in Skyrim (also, remember that the High Elves in ESO are FAR from being the equivalent of the Thalmar in ESO) 6) Did I mention I really want to see Summerset Isles?

For me, lore doesn't have that much to do with it. It's completely up to you. I don't understand why people want to see Skyrim/Morrowind again since they've already seen it, but that's me.
